Who is responsible
This website is run by Elena María Ramón Martínez, a Spanish teacher. Questions about personal data go to elenka.mrm@gmail.com.
Visiting the website
- There are no ads, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes every request (including the IP address) to deliver the page and keeps technical logs for a short time.
- When a visitor reads a news article, the site counts the read: the article, its level and the visitor's country. It stores no IP address and no cookie for this.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, so the browser connects to Google.
- The practice games save progress in the visitor's own browser for one hour. It is never sent to the site.
- A report of a missing word or a wrong reading in an article stores the word, the article and the level, nothing about the reader.
Contacting Elena and booking lessons
Messages by email or WhatsApp and calls booked through Google Calendar are used only to answer and to arrange lessons. Those services handle the data under their own privacy policies.
Booking a call
Anyone can book the free intro call on the site without an account, by typing a name and an email address. The site stores that name and email address and the booked time, and writes the booking with the visitor's network (IP) address to its log. A signed-in student can also book, move and cancel an intro call; the site stores the booking. Google Calendar receives the name and email address to send the invitation and later updates by email, under Google's privacy policy. The site itself emails only Elena, to tell her about a booking, a move or a cancellation; those emails are sent through Cloudflare.
Signing in
Anyone can create an account by signing in with Google; every user can also sign in with a passkey. The site stores the user's email address and name, the Google account's ID, each passkey's public key, the browser of each session, and a log of sign-ins and changes with the IP address. Google handles the Google sign-in under its own privacy policy. A session cookie keeps the session open; it is used for nothing else.
Rights
Anyone can ask to see, correct or delete the data the site has about them, by writing to elenka.mrm@gmail.com, and can complain to a data protection authority.
